National Gymnastrada

The National Gymnastrada is held once every four years to give rhythmic gymnastics groups from across Canada the opportunity to perform for each other and to participate in national mass routines.

Red Deer National Gymnaestrada Team 2006

Congratulations to Red Deer Rhythmic Gymnastics whose recent performance in Ottawa was one of only 10 gymnastic groups chosen to represent Canada at the World Gymnastrada in Austria in July 2007. Under the creative direction of coach Shaunna Cline, these children from the ages of 7 to 16 years, performed a 10-minute interpretation of the anti-racism show “Rainbow Wars”. This group used a variety of rhythmic apparatus, including paint buckets and brushes as the weapons in their struggle to achieve tolerance and collaboration as the colors blend into the world’s first rainbow.
