About Us

Rhythmic Gymnastics Alberta (RGA) is the provincial governing body for rhythmic gymnastics. We work closely with clubs across Alberta to provide athlete-centred programs
that encourage broad sport participation and support all levels of development
from grassroots to high performance.

Rhythmic Gymnastics Alberta

RGA is the provincial governing body for rhythmic gymnastics in Alberta. The Federation administers and delivers a variety of programs designed to encourage participation and develop excellence in rhythmic gymnastics. RGA members include recreational, developing, competitive and performing athletes, as well as coaches, judges, officials, administrators and supporters of the sport.

Guided by a volunteer Board of Directors, RGA funds and supports programs that help athletes, coaches, judges, and volunteers participate in rhythmic gymnastics and develop lifelong skills through delivery of:

Athlete Development Program

  • Provincial training programs (development, performance, high performance)
  • Talent identification and athlete pathway support
  • Provincial team selection and support
  • Athlete camps, clinics, and technical training opportunities

 Coaching Development & Certification

  • NCCP coaching courses (entry to advanced levels)
  • Ongoing professional development workshops and clinics
  • Mentorship and coach evaluation programs
  • High performance coaching support
  • Resources and tools to support coaching practice and lifelong learning

 

Officials (Judges) Development

  • Judge certification courses and clinics
  • Continuing education and evaluation of officials
  • Assignment and coordination of judges for competitions
  • Development pathway for new and advancing officials

 

Events & Competitions

  • Sanctioning and oversight of competitions across Alberta
  • Provincial championships and qualification events
  • Hosting or supporting national and Western-level events
  • Event standards, rules, and compliance monitoring

 

Club Support & Development

  • Club affiliation and membership services
  • Governance and operational support for clubs
  • Resources, policies, and best practice guidance
  • Club development initiatives and capacity building
  • Support for safe sport and inclusive environments
